Our stands only contact your instrument under the headstock. This contact point is
leather wrapped around surgical rubber so there is no risk of damaging the finish
on your instrument, even those with nitro lacquer finishes.
Only premium hardwoods are used on Take a Stand instrument stands. We currently
offer curly maple, cherry, and walnut. Other woods are available on special order and
more will be offered in the future.

Each stand is finished as fine furniture. After hand sanding, the finish is comprised of multiple steps. First a penetrating tung oil is applied. Then shellac sealer, shellac and finally two coats of fine furniture wax are applied for a flawless finish.
Take a Stand instrument stands come apart in two sections. They are easily assembled without tools in a few seconds. This provides easy transport and less expensive shipping.
